You can get a DUI on private property

This article, and the holding in West Virginia, doesn’t mean a change for us Kansans. In Kansas, you can get a DUI on private property.

In fact, in my November 15th blog post I explained that in Kansas just sitting behind the wheel may be enough to have an officer believe you were operating that vehicle.

Be careful anytime you choose to get behind the wheel. Don’t put yourself in a position to ruin your life or the lives of others.
